August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop…featuring It’s Your Day. If you’ve come here from Heather’s blog, then you’re on the right path.

Before I continue – let me say, this is a must have stamp set! There are so many possibilities. I’ll be sharing more great ideas with this stamp set – so be sure to check back often!
As soon as I saw this stamp set, I immediately came up with the idea of doing a border, or strip with the cake pieces. The colors were inspired by the Color Me Monday: Give Yourself the Blues that CTMH’s founder & CEO Jeanette Lynton shared. I added Juniper to the combination and I think it gives it a fun, festive feel. This is my own card design.

It’s Your Day D-size stamp set - August Stamp of the Month D1352

Scrap of paper from Perfect Day paper pack (matting for “Birthday”)

Scrap of Taffy Cardstock (matting for “happy”)

I love how you used the cake layers to make the bachground border. I don’t make this size card often (if ever), but after looking at the cool cards on the hop, I think I may have to give it a go!
