Tutorial:
Using Black ink, stamp Hedgie on a 5″ x 3.75″ White Daisy panel.
Using Sweet Leaf ink and one of the hedgehogs, ink just the outer edge to make grass.
Stamp, stamp and stamp some more to fill up the bottom of the panel with grass.
Hedgie looks kinda lonely….he needs a tree! Using the branch from the You’re a Hoot stamp set, ink the leaf portion using Sweet Leaf. Using a Chocolate marker, go over all of the branch sections. Tip: Exhale onto the stamp to moisten the ink…this gives a better impression. Tip: When coloring with the marker, make long strokes to avoid any missed sections.
Clean the stamp and reload to add a variety of branches giving the impression of a tree.
I pulled out the stencil I had made for another card.
Using Chocolate ink and a Sponge Dauber, color the outer portion darker than the body of Hedgie. Using Sweet Leaf ink and a Sponge Dauber, add more color to the grass.
Using the stencil, Outdoor Denim and Cranberry inks and a Sponge Dauber color in the kite too.
Take a scrap piece of paper and tear it. Position it to form a horizon line across the panel. Using a wedge of a Round Sponge and Heavenly Blue ink, add color to the entire top of the panel.
Using Crystal Blue ink, add more color to the top of the panel. Darken the very top using Dutch Blue ink.
I debated and tested a variety of ways to fill the empty space between the grass and the sky’s horizon line, in the end I opted to fill that with more grass. Using the hedgehog and Sweet Leaf, add more grass up to the horizon line.
To give the grass more depth, add darker grass using Topiary ink.
Attach the image panel to a 5.25″ x 4″ Dutch Blue panel that’s been swiped with Dutch Blue. Add the Silver Photo Clip and mount to a White Daisy card.
Wishing everyone a very happy & blessed Fourth of July!

One of the things I love about being a CTMH Consultant is the ability to make a difference in the life of a child. Imgaine giving a mother the gift of her child's smile - so rewarding!
