CTMH New Product Blog Hop & Tutorial
By Helen | January 11, 2010
It’s a new year, there’s a new Idea Book and there are TONS of fabulous new products – papers, stamps, embellishments and more – WOW!
To celebrate and share with you these new products, I’m part of a CTMH 2010 Spring Idea Book New Product Blog Hop – wow, that’s a mouthful. If you came from my friend Carla’s blog you’re on the right track. If you’re starting here…grab a cup of your favorite beverage, a notebook & pen (so you can jot down your wish list). Sit back and warm up with these wonderful ideas.
So Sweet is one of the stamp sets that was on my must have list – look at this beautiful set:

The Filigree Charms are GORGEOUS and were an embellishment that I just had to play with. So exciting that these Filigree Charms come in the Veranda Basic Workshop on the Go Kit!
I chose to make a card using the Done Right pattern on page 119 of the Wishes how-to book. If you like Card Sketches, then give one of these books a try – just email me for a PDF or two!
Materials:
- CTMH X7119B Veranda Level 2 Paper Packet
- CTMH C1389 So Sweet Stamp Set
- CTMH Z1269 Filigree Charms
- Z1142 Brown Stazon® Ink Pad
- CTMH Z2167 Créme Brulee Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
- CTMH Z2164 Sorbet Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
- CTMH Z2165 Juniper Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
- CTMH 3174 Blending Pen
- CTMH 9033 Wishes How-To Book
- CTMH Z1131 Designer Ribbon Rounds™ Créme Brulee Collection
Tutorial to follow. For those who want to skip the tutorial…hop on over to Adeline’s blog to see what she’s come up with!
Tutorial:
Stamp the flower cluster in Stazon Brown Ink on a piece of Vanilla Cream cardstock.
Take the Creme Brulee ink pad and while closed, squeeze the lid against the ink pad to pick up some ink. Now, use a Blending Pen to pick up that ink and color in the flowers.
Tip: To clean your blending pen, just scrub it on the desk pad or scratch paper.
Finish coloring the image adding Sorbet to the tips of the flowers and Juniper for the leaves. Use a corner rounder to round just the left corners on the piece.
Follow the Done Right pattern on page 119 of the Wishes how-to book to create the card.
Note: I added a secondary Juniper mat under my flower panel for added interest.
Stamp the sentiment using Stazon Brown ink.
Remove the Filigree Charm of your choice from the carrier foam.

Press the face of the Filigree Charm onto the Stazon Brown ink pad.
Tip: Use tweezers or a piercing tool so you don’t get ink all over your fingers!
Wipe off any excess ink using a paper towel and then use a heat tool to heat set the ink.
Here’s what it looks like shown with the others – in person it’s much more apparent than what you may be seeing on the computer screen.
Add a piece of Creme Brulee grosgrain ribbon and the “antiqued” Filigree Charm and voila!
Now…hop on over to Adeline’s blog to see what she’s come up with!

One of the things I love about being a CTMH Consultant is the ability to make a difference in the life of a child. For just $240 Operation Smile provides life changing clef palette and clef lip surgeries. A portion of every CTMH stamp set sold goes to Operation Smile. Imgaine giving a mother the gift of her child's smile - so rewarding!
