CTMH Pair-a-Phrase Blog Hop

By Helen | August 14, 2011

With National Stamping Month starting…a group of CTMH Consultants joined together to bring you a blog hop of wonderful ideas for using this fabulous stamp set that you can get FREE!  When you get $75 worth of CTMH products…can be anything on your wish list or from the While Supplies Last section…you get this stamp set free!  It’s two D-size stamp sets packaged in one convenient stamp envelope.

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back and join us on a journey of amazing things you can do with this stamp set. There are over 40 CTMH Consultants joining in on the fun…that’s a LOT of ideas that YOU can take and duplicate with this fun stamp set. If you arrived here from Wendy’s blog you’re on the right path.

I wanted to show how you can use this for a quick & easy card.

  1. Cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of patterned paper from the Sonoma paper pack.
  2. Cut a 2.5″ x 2.5″ piece of Olive cardstock.
  3. Cut a 2″ x 2″ piece of Colonial White cardstock.
  4. Stamp the owl using Cocoa ink.
  5. Using the Watercolor Pencils and Blending Pen, color in the owl.  I used the Chocolate, Brown Bag, Autumn Terracotta and Olive colors.  Tip: Color the image putting more color where there are shadows.  It’s easy to go back in and add more color if needed.
  6. Stamp the sentiment using Cocoa ink on a scrap of Bamboo cardstock.  Trim close.
  7. Using Cocoa ink and the Sea Sponge Texture Tool, distress the edges of all papers.
  8. Assemble as shown.
  9. Add the ribbon.  Tip: The ribbon knot is glued on top of the ribbon across the card.  Since this is a quick, easy card, I trimmed the ribbon at the edges instead of wrapping behind the patterned paper.

If you get lost along the way…here’s the complete list of all hoppers.
