Free products! You get the You & Me Kit, valued at $34.95 free in your kit.

Number 9…

Incredible inspiration through the CTMH bulletin boards – in my wildest dreams I couldn’t share the amount of artwork shared here.

Number 8…

Free training! CTMH has an awesome Training Academy where you can earn a PhD in your jammies. Courses cover business, creativity and personal growth. And…you’ll also get training from me.

Number 7…

Incentive Trips! Imagine being whisked away to exotic locations. Right now, I’ve got my sights set on Hawaii.

Number 6…

Making the difference in a life of a child. CTMH partnered with Operation Smile. I love that I’m able to help provide life changing surgeries for children who have facial deformities.

Number 5…

Recognition – imagine others cheering on your successes and achievements. Honestly – who cheers when you do a good job at work today? At CTMH, that’s the NORM!

Number 4…

Flexibility! Set your own hours. Take a day off. Work alongside your family activities and events. As a WAHM I was able to attend band camp, bowling practice, matches & tournaments, field trips and so much more.

Number 3…

Money! I’ve made a career out of CTMH. It takes time to do that. I can show you how. Or, you can use CTMH as a way to make additional money. Could $200 a month extra make a difference in your life?

Number 2…

Connected community of sisters – some of my best friends started as customers. Our relationships have grown into friendships. And…my CTMH sisters are always there to support me and cheer me on.

Number 1…

Because TODAY is the LAST DAY to join CTMH at 50% off. It’s only $64.50 plus shipping and tax. If you’re all about saving money…let’s take a look at the math.

Today, you can purchase the You & Me Kit for $34.95 plus shipping and tax.

Or…you can get it for only $15 with the purchase of $50 in CTMH products. With shipping and tax that comes to roughly $75….depending on where you live, tax rate and such.

Or…you can get $350 worth of business and creative supplies PLUS the You & Me Kit for $64.50, with shipping and tax it comes to roughly $78. So…it will ONLY cost you $3 more dollars to sign up – you seriously have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

During December, CTMH is running the Plenty for Twenty campaign – when you place a $20 order on my website, CTMH will throw in a D-size stamp set…absolutley FREE! Which D-size stamp set? Who knows….it’s a surprise! At a $22.95 value – it’s a great surprise!

And now…Sticky Boy may be coming to your house for the holidays! In random Plenty for Twenty orders throughout December, CTMH will add a stowaway….a free Sticky Boy! Sticky Boy is available in a variety of sizes, in his own packaging, and he’s a stamp that can’t be ordered. Let me share some history of Sticky Boy.

In 2004, Sticky Boy appeared as the star of a video presentation at the introduction of My Acrylix stamps to the CTMH product line. Watch the video to see all the crazy things Sticky Boy went through. Behind the scenes: Sticky Boy was a classic from CTMH’s rubber stamp line and his name was “What’s Up?”

Sticky Boy appeared at CTMH National Tours and Regional Celebrations and even wore a Tuxedo at the 2006 CTMH Convention Award Gala.

David Lynton (who runs the warehouse and is the husband of our CEO Jeanette Lynton) got the idea to start producing and hiding Sticky Boy around any event venue we went to….it’s a crazy phenomenon…imagine thousands of women, scouring every window, mirror, sticky surface to see if they can find a Sticky Boy! I’ve seen them hidden on a performer’s cowboy boot, the teleprompter, a water pitcher and in an elevator…alas…I’ve never been the first to spot one.

At the 2010 CTMH Convention, David Lynton presented one to Anita Renfroe…who did a whole segment on Sticky Boy and then proceeded to tuck him into her bra where he could always be “Close To My Heart.”

Now….Sticky Boy is hiding in random boxes from Plenty for Twenty website orders….will you get one?

For the Plenty for Twenty campaign, you can order anything for the $20…paper, embellishments, stamps, albums or more. Head on over to my website to get started and maybe Sticky Boy will surprise you!

Wishing you all Peace this holiday season!

Ken and I are so proud of our son, Robert and his Freshman video game team. Their ASCII-based video game Sowlar was a Top 10 Finalist at IndieCade – the International Festival of Independent Games. IndieCade features video games made by small teams and individuals.

Let me rewind a bit and tell you the story….

DigiPen Insititute of Technology has a unique philospophy of putting students together into project teams for a real-world work situation. Robert’s team consisted of four students in the following roles:

Kyle Holdwick – Producer

Daniel Rosas – Game Designer/Composer

Ed Kaminski – Product Manager/Artist

Robert Onulak – Technical Director (on the far right in photo below)

Oh – look – they’re wearing their Sowlar shirts! The mother of one of the team members does silk-screening and made them these shirts to wear.

During the planning stage, the team set a goal to have their video game put up on the DigiPen Game Gallery. An intense, heart-throbbing video trailer gave us an early preview of Sowlar.

Hard work, long hours, dedication, perseverance to overcome obstacles and a strong desire to excel drove this team to succeed in their goal. Sowlar earned its place in the DigiPen Game Gallery. From the Game Gallery, you can download Sowlar to play.

Over the summer, Robert was contacted by an IndieCade representative. DigiPen had submitted the game to IndieCade and the game was accepted! WOW! How exciting! Sowlar would be showcased at a festival of independent games to be held Oct 1-4, 2009 in Culver City, CA and also the show in Europe.

As the festival approached, we learned that Sowlar was in the top 30 finalist list. The day before IndieCade opened, Sowlar made the Top 10 list! It was fun reading the write-up of Sowlar from Computer Graphics World.

Congratulations to Kyle, Daniel, Ed and Robert for your awesome achievement!

Today’s Deal-A-Day from CTMH is the Chocolate Designer Ribbon Collection. These ribbons will add a dash of color to your projects.

Want to learn how to tie a fast, simple and easy bow…check out my new tutorial: tying a bow.

I thought it would be fun to take a look at the savings you get with today’s deal.

You find the stamp set you want: B1321 Reach for the Stars. When you order the stamp set, you’ll get the ribbons free (remember this is for today only – expires 10am EST June 7th, 2009).

If you were to order these off my website (without taking advantage of the special deal)…then…

B1321 Reach for the Stars $13.95

Z1127 Chocolate Designer Ribbon Rounds $7.95

Subtotal: $21.90

Shipping would be $7.95 (that’s why I encourage you to call me for your orders, because I can save you on shipping).

Plus appropriate tax – based on shipping address. Note: in some states, like NJ, shipping is also taxed. CTMH’s system automatically figures it out depending on your zip code – cool eh? For this example, let’s use my state’s tax 7%.

That would bring the total to $31.94

Now…if you take advantage of today’s deal, then, you purchase the stamp set, get the ribbons FREE and save on shipping! Let’s take a look:

B1321 Reach for the Stars $13.95

Z1127 Chocolate Designer Ribbon Rounds FREE

Subtotal: $13.95

Shipping would be $3.00 (this is the special deal rate).

Adding the tax, brings this to…$18.14 – that’s a savings of $13.80! Hmmm….I could certainly do something else with that money….like wait for another special deal

What stamp set will you choose? Decisions, decisions. If you know what you want, head on over to my website or browse the current Idea Book for inspiration.

I came back from a weekend crop to find I’ve been given four Blog Awards! My VERY FIRST Blog Award came from Carol Labuski. Aw geeee (I’m blushing). I also found Blog Awards, listed in order that I received them:

Brae Montgomery

Iona Schlaupitz

Cindy Hoeflein

You have made me SMILE and touched my heart. I am honored and thankful to have been picked.

Now I must award it to 5 people who have blogs that I feel show great attitude and gratitude. (Or…do I have to award it to 20 people, one for each of the awards I’ve received?)

The rules of this award are as follows:
*comment on this blog
*cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog
*nominate 5 to 10 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude
*link to your nominees within your blog post
*comment on their blogs to let them know they received the award
*link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation

And the award goes from ME to YOU special bloggers who show great attitude and gratitude …

Karen Pedersen - grounded in faith, strong family ties, humble and the biggest heart of giving and sharing…and she makes incredible artwork – she has a wonderful eye for adding embellishments and I’m always inspired by her work.

Lisa Stenz - always sharing her talents with others through her art.

Nona Davenport – a truly amazing and blessed woman who finds the best in every situation…and God has blessed her with an talent for writing journaling that is meaningful and moving…her Five Days with Noah album is priceless. I look forward to seeing photos of the upcoming adoption & send hugs & prayers her way.

Tresa Black - fun, humorous, always grateful, and as her blog title says…Fabulously Artsy…she creates wonderful tutorials and amazing artwork.

Vicki Wizniuk – abundance is a word that comes to mind – an abundance of artwork that is!

There are so many people I know who show great attitude and gratitude. Some of these individuals don’t have blogs (that I know of)…and I want to acknowledge them just the same:

Lynn Como – faith, stamina, perserverance, determination and a desire to achieve. She inspires, teaches, coaches and has helped me through so much more than I can share here. I feel blessed to count Lynn as one of my best friends.

Dianne Baergen – the musical voice of an angel (she’s been truly touched by God), and the biggest heart. A discerning spirit, the ability to calm, and mindfull of what is really important. I am blessed that God has brought us together and that we are soul sisters.

This is the kitchen in the auditorium! Here DVCs (Distinguished Visiting Chefs) give talks and create in front of the audience. There are overhead cameras and large viewing screens. The left side of the kitchen is gas and the right side is electric and induction.

Andrew kept hoping it would SNOW…and snow it did! Some areas of Colorado had up to 48″ of snow. This is a view of one of the dorms. The area to the left is a large open courtyard complete with tables and a sand volleyball court.

What do you do when you’re not in class or lab? How about a game of pool! Every dorm has a recreation area similar to this. Wow…even a fireplace.

This is one of the dining halls used for dining labs. In the dining lab, all the different disciplines come together for a complete dining experience, including table-side service. Some of the visiting students tried their hand at making Bananas Foster. Did you know that it originated in New Orleans? You can read all about it and get the recipe here.

This is one of the culinary labs. The Vulcan stove was brought by 17 men and one large crane. The stove is all ONE piece! The room was then built around it.

What a pantry! Anything and everything you could imagine, and then some.

One of the bakery & pastry labs. This is where Andrew will spend his time creating and learning.
