Page Elements – Animal Cookies Style

By Helen | July 17, 2009

Page Elements are so cool!  These are things like title blocks, journaling spots, accent pieces and photo mats.  Here’s the set of Page Elements that I’m giving away as a random drawing for Scrapbook Challenge 15.

These Page Elements were made using:

Let’s take a look at how these Page Elements came about…I was looking at the sticker sheets after doing the Animal Cookies Scrapbook Workshop…

I thought the areas where the animal stickers had been would make great frames for a stamped image.  I set about cutting apart the sticker sheets.  I lined up the section with the cutting track on my paper trimmer.

After cutting them apart, I gently peeled the sticker frame up and attached it to White Daisy Cardstock.  I then stamped the images…and gave them some personality by adding colored sections.

For the Title and Journaling Spots, I liked the zigzag areas and put those onto the reverse side of the number paper, then matted them with Tulip Cardstock.  I added Clover Meadow brads in the corners for added interest.

Looking at the area of the sticker sheet where the Smitten sticker had been, I wanted to find a way to use the color border.  I cut it into straight strips…then got the idea to use it as a band across a photo mat.

I played with placing these on the Scrapbook Challenge 15 sample to show you how these Page Elements can be used.  Here’s the left page of the layout with the Title Spot and Photo Mat added.

Here’s the right page of the layout with the stamped accents and the Journaling Spot.

Friendly reminder…the deadline for getting in on the drawing for Scrapbook Challenge 15 is 6:00pm on July 19th.  Hope you’ll join in the fun & play along.
