Scrapbook Challenge 13 & Blog Giveaway

By Helen | June 28, 2009

This week’s Scrapbook Challenge comes to us from the Imagine book.  You can either pull out your Imagine book to follow the Creative Team pattern found on page 104 or use the sample I’ve provided as a guideline.

You may play around with the layout as long as we can identify it as the same pattern.  For example, change the papers, the photo sizes, orientation of the pages or mirror image the design.  Most of all…have FUN!!!!

Lucky 13 Drawing

Wow, we’re up to Scrapbook Challenge 13!  Since 13 was my father’s lucky number, I want to do something fun with Scrapbook Challenge 13.

How this is going to work – you’ll get separate entries for each item on this list…note, with a total of 13 possible entries per person!  Next Sunday, July 5th, at 6:00pm (EST), I will do the drawing.  I plug each entry into an Excel Spreadsheet – in the order they come in, and then, I’ll use a random number generator to pick the winning entry.  Prize – pick a CTMH D-size stamp set of your choice!

1. Participate in the Scrapbook Challenge – make your version and share the link in the comments.

2. Use CTMH papers (get 3 entries for this).

3. Use chipboard on your layout.

4. Use stamping on your layout (get 1 entry for any stamps, get 3 entries if you use CTMH stamps).

5. Use any other type of embellishment: ribbon, eyelets, brads…anything at all – the choice is yours.

6. Post a link on your blog or website indicating Weekly Scrapbook Challenges and link to my blog.  Post a comment here after you’ve done that.

7. Write a post on your blog regarding the Weekly Scrapbook Challenges and then leave a comment here that you’ve done that.

8. Post a comment – that’s it, that simple.

9. Follow me on Google – see the box to the right.  Note: If you are already following me…you get one automatic entry – how cool!

Updated July 5th – Winner!

I put everyone’s entries into an Excel spreadsheet – some of you had just one entry for following my blog…others had all 13 entries for completing everything on the list.  Great job on all the Scrapbook Layouts.  If you haven’t seen them…either click on the name of the person in the comments section, or the link to their photos.

Drum roll please….and the winner is….. Joanie!

Hi Helen…I’ve posted my layout on my blog. Here’s the address for it: http://iluv2cre84u.blogspot.com/2009/06/ctmh-weekly-scrapbook-challenge-13.html. I hadn’t even totally read the details for this challenge before making my layout but I did happen to use all the items you listed. How funny!

Helen, what a fun challenge. I decided to use the Tinkerin’ paper aprk–one of my favorites. I also used CTMH chocolate ink, & D1286 Today’s Date stamp set. Mine is only missing chipboard–didn’t use that (sorry!)

    Thanks for the challenges!

    Hi Helen,

I saw your challenge on the CTMH artwork board and finally decided to try one of these challenges. I am not sure if you have to start at the beginning, or start whenever, hopefully start whenever. If not, I apologize. Thanks for the challenge, it was fun.
I used MoonDoggie papers, Field Trip Alphabet, chipboard, large white brads and Mini Medley Accents.

    Hi Kim,
Thank you for playing! You don’t have to go back to the beginning (unless you want to). The challenges are really to help you get more scrapbooking done and to see how everyone interprets the same scrapbook pattern.
