Tip: Selecting Ink Color Quickly

I’m often asked, “Helen, what color ink goes with this paper?” If it’s a Close To My Heart paper color, I can quickly answer. When the paper is from a different product line, it’s typically trial and error trying to figure it out. I came up with a quick and easy way to find the color quickly – a color chart!
I’ve done all the work of setting up the files for you. You just print the one that works best for you and then stamp all the ink colors you have. This also makes a great reference for knowing what ink colors you have so you don’t end up buying the same color twice!
This version is grouped by Season. Each row across the page represents a color season as they appear in the Summer 2009 Idea Book. If this is your style, then use the Color Chart by Season (this will open a PDF file).

To fill in your chart, find a stamp that fits on a 1″ x 1″ block. I used the next to smallest flower from CTMH’s Aspiration stamp set.

I too would love an updated version, my customers love seeing the colors actually stamped before they buy; and I’m NO good with creating spreadsheets!
