I am totally in LOVE with this stamp set – from the adorable little owl that caught my eye, to the graphic backgrounds and sentiments, this is a fun stamp set that can be used for creative the Treat Tubes…then, used over & over again for so much more. Think Valentine’s, birthdays, and yes…even boys!
As many of you know, I’m a mom to 3 boys…ok, young men now. I created this fun Valentine for them.
While I added other cardstock, you could make a similar Valentine using only the papers that come in the kit…
Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back and be inspired by all the projects everyone has come up with. Follow the hop to get LOT of ideas that YOU can take and duplicate with this wonderful kit pack. If you arrived here from Kathleen’s blog you’re on the right path.

Tutorial
Both cards are very similar…so I’ll give you directions for the boy’s Valentine with notes at the end for the standard Valentine.
For the background, cut a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Olive cardstock. Stamp, tone-on-tone, meaning, use the same color ink as the cardstock.
Start in the lower left corner and stamp a complete image on the card.
The beauty of this stamp image is the hearts make it super easy to line up. I wanted to stagger the open heart, to do this, I adjusted the position by a couple of rows of hearts.
Continue to add images until the cardstock is completely covered. Attach to the center front of a card base.
For the Zig Zag, first ink the stamp in Goldrush, then gently press the ends into either Olive (at the top) and Outdoor Denim (at the bottom). The next time you stamp, you’ll ink in Goldrush, then reverse how you ink the ends…with Olive (at the bottom) and Outdoor Denim (at the top). Tip: Always CLEAN your stamp before reinking again to prevent getting dark ink into your Goldrush ink pad. Tip: Whatever the last color in the zig zag pattern is, that will be the color to ink the TOP, which aligns with the pattern.
Trim Zig Zag piece to measure 1.25″ x 5.5″ and mat on a piece of Outdoor Denim cardstock 1.5″ x 5.5″. Attach to the left, 0.5″ in from the left side.
Stamp the two Owls in Goldrush on a scrap of White Daisy cardstock and cut out. Layer:
- Goldrush: 2.5″ x 2″
- White Daisy: 2.25″ x 1.75″
- Silver Shimmer Paper: 0.25″ x 2.5″
- Owls – pop the little one with foam tape
For the standard Valentine, there are these changes:
- Hearts are stamped in Blush on Blush cardstock.
- The Zig Zag is done by inking in Blush first, then press the ends into either Hollyhock or Ruby.
- The image panel is layers with:
- Hollyhock with Ruby inked edges: 3″ x 2.5″ Tip: The kit didn’t come with Ruby cardstock & I wanted to show you how you could create this without having Ruby cardstock…just swipe the edges of the Hollyhock cardstock with the Ruby inkpad.
- White Daisy: 2.75″ x 2.25″
- Banner is cut using White Daisy cardstock and the CTMH Artiste Cartridge – <n> shift, Accent 3 at 0.5″ on page 66
- Glitter Banner – I cut a strip 0.75″ wide, then used my scissors to trim the ends.
- Owls and sentiment are stamped in Ruby
Now “hop” on over to see what {Lisa} has created.

One of the things I love about being a CTMH Consultant is the ability to make a difference in the life of a child. For just $240 Operation Smile provides life changing clef palette and clef lip surgeries. A portion of every CTMH stamp set sold goes to Operation Smile. Imgaine giving a mother the gift of her child's smile - so rewarding!
