Scrapbook Challenge 43 using the Softer Side of Jingle
By Helen | January 24, 2010
I’ve been looking at the pink side of the Juniper Snowflake paper in the Jingle paper pack thinking…this looks like it would work with Hollyhock to make a fun birthday layout. I started playing and voila! I’ll add a title on the band at the top of the left-hand page.
I added the smaller circles from the Dimensional Elements On Target chipboard set as my embellishments. I used a foam tool to ink these with either Creme Brulee or Hollyhock ink.
The stamp set that comes with the Jingle Workshop on the Go kit includes a variety of presents and words. I used the stamps to create accents. On the left-hand page, I took the 4″ square of striped paper and cut it into four 2″ squares. Then by turning some of the squares, I was able to make this fun background. I love this so much, I can see doing this on a birthday card.
Here’s a closeup of the detail on the right-hand page. I used the little swirly stamp to make it look like the present is sitting in curled ribbons.
This week’s pattern comes to us from the CTMH Cherish how-to book and is the Echoes pattern on page 41. If you like using page maps or page sketches…or, if you’ve never tried them and would like to, email me and I’ll send you a few PDF files from the different CTMH how-to books to try.

One of the things I love about being a CTMH Consultant is the ability to make a difference in the life of a child. For just $240 Operation Smile provides life changing clef palette and clef lip surgeries. A portion of every CTMH stamp set sold goes to Operation Smile. Imgaine giving a mother the gift of her child's smile - so rewarding!

The small circles that you added was really a great idea. They made your scrapbook layout look even cooler.
