Scrapbook Challenge 45 Using Topstitch

By Helen | February 7, 2010

This week’s Scrapbook Challenge is the Grand Finale pattern on page 108 of the Imagine how-to book.  The pattern in the book shows a large portrait style photo on the right-hand page.  I changed it up and put two smaller landscape photos in its place.

Tip: Using the large thin circle from the On Target Dimensional Elements collection makes quick work of creating the gentle arch on the right-hand page.

I love the combination of using My Stickease and stamped images.   Here, I popped up the scalloped My Stickease and put the stamped cut-out image directly onto the page.  Is the button real?  Real enough – it’s one of the My Stickease – amazing detail isn’t it!

Tip: To pop up a My Stickease sticker, apply 3D-Foam Tape to the back of the sticker, keeping the protective cover in place.  Then, apply baby powder to the back of the My Stickease sticker, such that if it’s pressed down, it won’t adhere to the layout.  Now, remove the protective cover and attach the My Stickease to the page.

Here’s another combination of My Stickease and a stamped, cut-out image.

Materials:

Have fun playing with this layout. I’d love to see what you create!

  1. Post the photos on my Facebook Fan Page - you can upload them into the photo album there.
  2. Post the photos on your Facebook Wall or in your Facebook Photo Album – friend me so I can see them. In the description, put a link to the scrapbook challenge.
  3. Post on a public blog, and link here.
  4. Post them on Splitcoaststampers (SCS). For the keywords, please put: HOSSC45 and CTMH.

When you leave your comments, make sure you let us know where we can see YOUR creation!
