Studio J FUN!

I can hardly wait to see my son Robert later this week! He’s away at college, totally across the country. Thinking of him inspired me to capture his comedic nature. We were building a gazebo in the backyard, and of course…I had my camera. Robert thought it was hilarious to try and avoid the camera. If he was crouched down, as soon as I had the camera in position, he’d stand up! He took pleasure in hiding his face behind his arm, the gazebo curtains, the instructions, and more. I persisted and GOTCHA!
This layout was created in Studio J. Make sure you visit the website and sign up for the mailing list – you’ll be entered into a contest for an album! Studio J is online scrapbooking. Unlike digital scrapbooking where you need to purchase software, access to the website is free. No need to purchase the papers or the embellishments – give them all a try until you find what you’re happy with. Before settling on the Back Country kit, I tried It’s a Guy Thing. Robert’s favorite color is blue, and with his blue jeans I wanted to pull that color into the layout. Back Country it is. I also tried out a variety of embellishments, including the stickers that coordinate with the Back Country theme before going with the stitching, buttons and brads.
Being the industrious person I am, I’ve been playing with Studio J and stretching it beyond it’s inital capabilities. I created stitching lines by using the button thread, the mat for the title by using a new text area, and added a jumble of buttons and brads that look like they were placed there by hand.
I shared Studio J with a few of my team members and they were so impressed. Just like kids who are “too excited to go to sleep” they can barely wait for January to come when they will have access to Studio J too. I look forward to showing them (and YOU) all the tricks you can do with Studio J.
