My First Video – Clearly the Best & Drop-Shadow Tutorial

By Helen | February 1, 2010

CTMH is running a contest for CTMH Consultants.  We were asked to put together videos that are informative, demonstrate the use, care and the unique features of My Acrylix stamps.  When I told my hubby, Ken, about the contest…he laughed and said I now had a really good reason to use the video camera he gave me for my birthday (should I tell you that my birthday was in July?!?).

CTMH is offering awards in two categories: “Clearly the Best” and “Most Views”…while the “Clearly the Best” category falls to the decision of CTMH, the “Most Views” category is picked by YOU!  So…if you can help me out by sharing this with your friends, family and anyone else you think would watch, I’d greatly appreciate it.

In the video, I explain how to get the shade stamp for the flowers to line up perfectly with the outline image.

Learn how you can group a variety of stamps onto one block to create your own background.

And…learn how to create a drop-shadow title.

We had fun putting this video togther. It was hard to get it paired down within the 3 minute time constraint. I had so much more I wanted to say, teach, do – yikes! Now I can see why it takes months to get movies made.

Enjoy!

Helen, I’m a friend of Susan Strobel’s and she sent me your video… I’m rather a beginner scrapper (cards mostly; however very interested in albums). I really enjoy your presentation and plan to share with fellow scappers..

    Hey Helen
I love the idea of making the title lettering. I would of never thought about lining it up on the pad before putting it on the block. Thanks for the info! Stacy

Great job on your video! I’ve been stamping for a couple of years and have learned a ton during that time. I still picked up some great tips from your video and you are easy to listen too. Thanks for sharing. :)
